General Information

The Furniture and Woodwork Application and Research Center (MAUM) of Bursa Technical University commenced its operations in October 2018. The centre's primary objective is to provide services to small, medium, and large-scale enterprises in the furniture industry. These services encompass design, production, testing and analysis, consultancy, sustainable vocational training, specialized technical knowledge, and standardization. Through these efforts, the centre aims to contribute to the furniture sector's aspiration of becoming one of the top 10 furniture producers globally and one of the top 5 in Europe.

The centre facilitates the testing of products, enabling their entry into higher-value markets and accelerating the production of value-added products through the adoption of innovative materials.

As of 2022, the centre operates with a team of five staff members, including one director, two vice directors, one secretary, and one administrative personnel.
